The latest entry into Shudder's found footage anthology series features five horror stories
This week, Fantastic Fest will premiere the latest addition to Shudder's found footage anthology franchise, V/H/S/85. IGN has exclusively released a new trailer that is both bloody and insane. The directorial team for this installment includes Scott Derrickson (known for Sinister and The Black Phone), David Bruckner (known for Hellraiser and The Ritual), Gigi Saul Guerrero (known for Satanic Hispanics and Bingo Hell), Natasha Kermani (known for Lucky), and Mike P. Nelson (known for Wrong Turn). While half the excitement of a new V/H/S film is going in with no prior knowledge, here's a brief summary of the plot to hold you over.
“Unveiled through a made-for-TV documentary, five chilling tales emerge: scientists observe an unusual boy fixated on his TV, kids embark on a lake skiing adventure, a TV crew fights to survive a natural disaster, the early days of VR awaken something terrifying, and a deadly dream is captured on tape.
Produced by Shudder, Studio71, Cinepocalypse and our friends over at Bloody Disgusting, V/H/S/85 marks the sixth entry into the series that includes last year's V/H/S/99 and of course the iconic V/H/S/94
