Lionsgate and Blumhouse are all set to release a new horror movie named "Imaginary" that is sure to give you goosebumps. The movie introduces a new character, Chauncey, a teddy bear with an ambiguous nature that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
The makers have released a new promo video that showcases Chauncey as a cute, cuddly bear, but with a dark secret. The video is presented as a faux-commercial for the bear and warns viewers that "He's not imaginary, and he's not your friend."
"Imaginary" is set to release on March 8, 2024, and stars DeWanda Wise, who will also produce the movie. The plot follows Jessica, who moves back into her childhood home with her family, and her youngest stepdaughter Alice, who develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey found in the basement. Initially, Alice's games with Chauncey are playful, but they gradually take on a sinister tone. As Alice's behavior grows increasingly concerning, Jessica intervenes, only to realize that Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.
The movie also stars Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcon, and Betty Buckley, making it an ensemble cast.
Jason Blum, the founder of Blumhouse Productions, will produce the movie, with Jeff Wadlow directing and producing. The screenplay is by Jeff Wadlow, Greg Erb, and Jason Oremland.
Ryan Turek will be the Executive Producer of Wadlow's "Imaginary," which is being touted as this year's blockbuster, and it seems that the makers have all the right ingredients to make it a successful horror movie.
