Matthew Lillard hints at a lot of jump scares in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie - Trailer

Blumhouse and Emma Tammi's game adaptation hits theaters just in time for Halloween.

Blumhouse and Universal Pictures have released a new "look inside" featurette video to get you in the mood for Emma Tammi's Five Nights at Freddy's, which is set to release on October 27. The video offers us a glimpse into how the creepy animatronics are being brought to life, making it the perfect spooky season watch.

The movie stars popular actors like Matthew Lillard, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Kat Conner Sterling, Piper Rubio, and Mary Stuart Masterson. Five Nights at Freddy's is based on the terrifying indie horror game of the same name by Scott Cawthon. The plot follows a group of people who are trapped in a family entertainment center and are stalked by the animatronic characters.

Can you survive five nights? The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse— the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man— brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen. The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.

The team at Jim Henson's Creature Shop is working on the animatronics for the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's movie. The film will feature the game's popular characters, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and Freddy Fazbear himself, brought to life with terrifying realism. The teaser also includes interviews with the actors playing Chica, Bonnie, and Freddy: Jessica Weiss, Jade Kindar-Martin, and Kevin Foster, respectively.

In addition, actor Matthew Lillard has hinted that the movie will be full of "jumpscares," and producer Chris Columbus has described it as the "ultimate popcorn movie." Jason Blum, the film's executive producer, has promised that the movie will appeal to the passionate fanbase of the game. Fans have speculated that this could be the first of a new trilogy of films from Blumhouse Productions.
