M3GAN 2.0: The Killer Doll Returns in 2025 with Bigger Thrills and Chills!

Horror fans, get ready to welcome back everyone’s favorite killer doll! After the viral and box office success of Blumhouse’s M3GAN in 2022, it was only a matter of time before the doll made her return. Now, the wait is almost over—M3GAN 2.0 is set to hit theaters on June 27, 2025, and we’ve got some exciting first-look images to share!
Entertainment Weekly recently dropped two exclusive images from the highly anticipated sequel, and they’re already giving us chills. Returning director Gerard Johnstone promises that M3GAN 2.0 will be bigger and bolder than the first film. In his interview with EW, Johnstone teased, “It is very ambitious. I felt that the story should be bigger and increase in scale and scope, but it’s still a minuscule budget [compared to] the Marvel movie scale.”
The sequel brings back fan favorites Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, with Akela Cooper (Malignant, M3GAN) once again penning the script. Horror legend James Wan is also returning as a producer, ensuring that the sequel will deliver the same thrills and dark humor that made the original a hit.
Joining the cast this time are Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari, and Jemaine Clement, adding even more talent to the mix.
But that’s not all! Blumhouse is expanding the M3GAN Cinematic Universe with a spinoff movie titled SOULM8TE, directed by Kate Dolan (You Are Not My Mother). Described as a ’90s-style erotic thriller with a “new technological twist,” SOULM8TE is set to hit theaters on January 2, 2026, just six months after M3GAN 2.0.
