Dive into Nostalgia with the Upcoming LEGO Jaws Set

Get ready to relive the thrill of the classic movie Jaws in a whole new way this summer with the highly anticipated LEGO Jaws set. LEGO recently teased the release of this exciting set on Instagram, paying homage to the iconic Jaws poster in a playful video.

Scheduled to hit the shelves on August 1, 2024, this official 1,497-piece LEGO set is a must-have for fans of the film. The set, approved by LEGO in May 2023 after a fan-submitted project by Jonny Campbell garnered 10,000 supporters in 2022, will retail for $159.99. It features a 14-inch-high LEGO replica of the boat and the iconic shark, all set on a wide diorama base.

But that's not all! The set will also include three minifigs: Chief Martin Brody, Matt Hooper, and Quint, portrayed by Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw in the Steven Spielberg film.

The timing of this release couldn't be more perfect, coinciding with the Fourth of July holiday, a significant date in the Jaws legacy. The movie, which first hit the screens in 1975, based on Peter Benchley's novel, continues to captivate audiences even after almost 50 years.

In Jaws, the story unfolds in the New England tourist town of Amity Island, where a shark attack sets off a series of events. Police chief Martin Brody, played by Roy Scheider, aims to close the beaches for safety, but mayor Larry Vaughn opposes the idea to protect tourist revenue. The trio of Brody, Hooper, and Quint embarks on a thrilling adventure to capture the killer shark, leading to an epic battle of man versus nature.

With the 50th anniversary of Jaws approaching and a documentary in the works, fans can expect more exciting Jaws-related news in the near future. In the meantime, mark your calendars for August 1, 2024, to grab your own LEGO Jaws set and dive into the nostalgia of this cinematic masterpiece.

Stay tuned for more updates and immerse yourself in the world of Jaws with LEGO's latest creation!
