Alien: Romulus: A Terrifying Return to the Big Screen - NEW TEASER TRAILER

20th Century Studios has unveiled a brand new featurette for Alien: Romulus, describing it as a “horrifying return to the big screen.” This exciting video is packed with fresh footage that fans have never seen before.

The featurette, which you can watch below, delves into the rich legacy of the Alien franchise and explains how Romulus fits into the existing timeline. It also highlights the film’s commitment to practical effects, a hallmark of the series.

Director Fede Alvarez, known for his work on Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe, shares his vision in the video: “The whole idea behind this film was to really take it back to basics and make a pure horror movie again.”

Alien: Romulus is set to hit theaters on August 16. The plot centers around a group of young space colonizers who, while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, encounter the most terrifying life form in the universe.

Leading the cast is Cailee Spaeny, known for her roles in The Craft: Legacy and Pacific Rim Uprising. She is joined by Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu.

The script for Alien: Romulus was co-written by Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues, who previously collaborated on Evil Dead. Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott is on board as a producer, marking the first Alien film to be released under Disney’s banner.

Based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett, Alien: Romulus promises to deliver a spine-chilling experience that stays true to the roots of the iconic franchise. Don’t miss it in theaters this August!
